F/V Time Bandit .. arrr!
Built here at Giddings in 1991, the Time Bandit has gone on to be one of the more memorable boats featured in the Deadliest Catch. Every boat we’ve ever built has a story to tell worthy of an epic– maybe only at the dinner table with family & friends or yarned hard at the bar after work when fishing is slow, so it’s nice to see one of our own and her crew telling her story to the world. Cheers!
Time Bandit Specs
- Engines: two 425 horsepower (317 kW) Cummins diesels
- Props: two 52×58 propellers
- Hydraulics: two 125 kW auxiliaries
- Crane: 10 ton 40’ knuckle boom

I had a chance to sit down with "Deadliest Catch" captains Johnathan Hillstrand and Scott Campbell Junior during their visit to Los Angeles, and found them to be exactly the way they are on television -- talkative, outgoing and, of course, tough as nails.
